Installation And Cabling Network Guide

Transmitting information is now very fast, easy, and convenient using cable networks. These are used efficiently in news and television networks, internet, school networks, the government, and the general public. STPs, WLANs, UTPs, Fiber Optics, and Coaxial are used to configure networks and connect to LAN or Local Area Network. They are either installed in pairs, individually, or in groups depending on what the network requires.

UTPs are widely used because they are common and very affordable. Different networks use them since these are easy to install. They are classified according to their speeds. WLAN or Wireless Local Area Network, by the name itself, does not need any cable for connection. There are high frequency radio signals and lasers, which is what this innovation uses. It is widely used in school networks and in work stations because it is the most convenient. Once installed with WiFi, it will be very easy to connect devices to LAN. Such devices include laptops and smart phones.

WLANs or Wireless Local Area Network do not require cables in order to connect to a network. It utilizes radio signals and infrared energy. These signals and energy enables it to connect to the internet especially in offices and schools. It is very efficient area to connect devices like laptops, smart phones, and tablets.

WLAN uses connectivity that does not require cables. It merely uses radio signals that are of high frequency as well as lasers. This is what powers the internet that is used mostly in work stations and offices. These can connect gadgets and devices like tablets, laptops, and smart phones or mobile phones to the local area network. This is very convenient and can reach a certain distance.

Coaxial cables contain copper inside which is the main material that catches electricity and signals. This is efficient in schools and offices. These can be combined with other cables like STPs and UTPs. Coaxial may be thin or thick but both are relatively difficult to install, especially the thick ones because they do not bend.

Installers must follow certain guidelines in the installation of any type of cable. The cables must have extra lengths and the installation should be done at least three feet away from any source of signal and electronic interference. These may cause disruptions in the process of configuration.

Testing the network must be done prior to the mounting of cable wires. If there are detected network defects, they need to have them fixed thoroughly or connectivity will be affected. There are protectors that cover these wires since the wirings are sensitive. In addition, if they are covered, they will also be able to avoid interferences of signal.

Both ends of the cable must be labeled to avoid confusion regarding where the other one must be installed. They must also be tied instead of using tapes since these are not reliable support. This will avoid people from tripping over the excess lines and wires.
