Wireless Networking inside your home is easy to set Up

By Rise Courtney

Accessing the Internet without the use of Ethernet cables is possible only with a wireless router. It goes without saying that wireless technology is by far better than having to deal with tangled wires.

Having a wireless signal in your home is perfect for your laptop computer. Freedom to access the Internet while lying in bed or watching TV is so convenient. Each router will come equipped with a standard range of the wireless signal.

Installing a wireless router in your home or office can be accomplished by following our basic instructions. Set up doesn't have to be a chore. Just purchase your favorite brand router, bring it home, and begin the set up process.

There is a wide selection of different wireless routers on the market. Speed and technology are the main differences. 802.11g technology is preferred for just about any computer or smart phone due to its compatibility capability.

You do want to double check and make sure that your wireless device supports wi-fi. There is a chance your computer doesn't support wi-fi so you may need to equip your computer with a USB wi-fi adapter that can pick up the wireless signal.

Wireless signals are supported by every major brand of laptop computers. When your tablet or laptop is ready to receive the wireless signal from your router, you'll need to unplug your modem.

Next, find the network cable and insert it into the back of the modem. Then run the same cable into the back of the Internet port of the router. Next, you'll need to power up your laptop.

Automatic connection should take place once everything is turned on. Since this is the first time you've set up your router, you'll be asked to configure your password and user name. Setting up your wireless network is now complete. It's so simple, anyone can do it.
