Why Get A Desktop Computer

By Casper Vivianodeni

Nowadays, there are waves of gadgets that come out every month from different competing companies. The average consumer has hundreds of choices on what laptop, cellular phone or tablet to buy. Mobile gadgets have become essential to the lifestyle of many people in developed and developing countries alike. These devices may have their perks like being able to access the internet from anywhere and bring able to take pictures, but there are some things that only a desktop pc can provide. Read the following advantages of having a pc in your home or office.

They are cheaper

If you don't really need a mobile device but still need a computer, desktops are generally cheaper than most of the laptops out there. Most low priced netbooks are only good for surfing the net because they don't have big memory for a significant amount of files.

High Memory

Though there are laptops that have considerably high memory, they are mostly more expensive than desktop computers. You don't have to be computer savvy to know why it is better to have higher memory. If you deal with heavy files such as videos, and software, the importance of extra memory cannot be stressed enough. Videos, software, and games are some of the types of data that are too big for most laptops.

Parts can be upgraded one at a time

With the desktop pc, you can easily upgrade its parts depending on your needs and preferences. If you work with editing videos and pictures you may want to have an extra large screen for viewing the important details. This cannot be done with a laptop. If you prefer using an ergonomic keyboard you can simply replace your old keyboard. Sure you can do this with a laptop too, but you will have two keyboards in front of the screen.

Repairs are easier with replaceable parts

Repairs can be easily done with the desktop PC. If a part is problematic you can look around for shops with parts of second hand computers to replace it. If your budget is limited, there are some shops that sell parts of second hand computers.
