By John Miranda

The following are five reasons why Facebook should be the tool for your church when it comes to looking for methods to develop online relationships with the men and women of your church and your community as well.

1. Facebook does not charge ANYTHING at all. Yes, your church won't spend even a sole penny to start off your church fan page in Facebook. Compare that to building a church website sometime! Custom sites' cost starts at $1200 if you're fortunate!

2. Facebook is considered to be WORLD'S #1 when it comes to COMMUNICATION. capturing the attention of th congregation can really one of the most challenging things. As a pastor or minister of the church, you just do not have the luxury of time to grab the telephone and get in touch with each member of the church one by one personally. These are things that you probably can't achieve face-to-face on a frequent manner.

3. Create a like page on facebook and start encouraging better social CONNECTION between the men and women and the church. In every ministry, there are members that only attend church once a week or less. Posting routinely on your church Facebook page assists them remain attached and know what's taking place on a daily basis.

If you have a smart mobile phone with a 3g internet connection, it's as simple as point, click and send. The families at my church love seeing updates from the Children's Minister as he publishes pics of the kids from camp to his Facebook page.

5. A custom facebook page assists build RELATIONSHIPS among the people of the church. Members of your church can meet and get acquainted via your church Facebook fan page. For pastors and ministers of the church, Facebook can be used to get to know more men and women as individuals by browsing through posts.
