This Really Is The Second One I Bought - Best Waterproof Digital Camera Critique

By Elizabeth Thomas

This is the same run of the mill point and shoot, pretty much the same as most and the same quality, there are a lot of features and the video recording is decent. This camera is perfect for someone who wants a point and shoot camera that they don't have to worry about breaking. It has been about 3 months and now the camera won't even turn on. I'm sending it back to Olympus, we will see, I researched "Tough" Cameras for a few months before I made my purchase.

My previous Olympus did. This one shoots HD in the video mode. Once I removed and reinserted the battery, the pictures would come out clear again. I was very disappointed and did not even attempt an underwater shot. It was a great buy! It's really fun to use around water, like waterparks, the pool and amusement parks. Then, once at home, I followed the directions to clean the camera lens and shutter. None of the manufacturer's directions worked to bring this camera back to life.

I took it to a rafting trip in WV and to the beach, it works perfect! You do have plug into the computer before insert the memory card, but other than that is a great addition to your electronics!

Many families were asking about it and after my friends saw what it did they went out and purchased them for themselves as well. Of course I am the only one with a bright pink camera.

I bought this camera for my 11 year old son last year for our trip to Niagara Falls. It seemed very durable and easy to use.

BTW, I'm a pro (over 40 years advertising, catalog and editorial) so a good test for me of a point and shoot is just that--point and shoot! Spend a few minutes fresh out of the box with the camera, running through menu selections and settings, and just use the camera simply and easily. Hopefully they will replace it again and then I will immediately be putting it on eBay and using the funds to find my husband a different water proof camera. This is ridicules.

There are three underwater settings. Close up, landscape, and action. Easy to carry, water proof to swimming depth, shock proof from kids height. A High quality camera that is easy to use, easy to carry around kids to get the once in a childhood shots I have only had the Tough 6020 for a few days. I bought this camera in replacement of my former Olympus Stylus 720SW which had broken after my son opened the battery cover while taking pictures in the lake. I love, love, love my 720SW, and assumed that the current Olympus water-proof cameras would be an equally quality product. We got it for our trip to a beach resort. Well the first few times we used it in the pool it started acting really funny.
