By Jake Gavin

The Women Innovate Mobile (WIM) is a start-up accelerator designed to invest in the way ahead for girls who work in the technology industry. WIM will guide the endeavors of female technology entrepreneurs, aid new female-led Tech start-ups with their business concerns, and supply feedback to female Tech entrepreneurs who want direction and guidance. The goal of WIM is to provide mentoring and support for women who need technical support, and support referring to the concerns of a female entrepreneur and concerning mobile application development.

WIM has already commenced considering applications from female owned, or female company-owned firms specializing in mobile application development. Accepted applicants will gain the utilising of office space, free of charge. This office space will be offered to up to 5 mobile startups entities. Candidates who are accepted into this programme will also gain education re networking.

This is vital, as girls will receive access to numerous related networks and supportive systems. Before the fulfilment of WIM, many ladies were underserved inside male-based business accelerator programs. WIM is the first female-based accelerator programme, intended to promote female empowerment and enfranchisement within the mobile technology sector.

As startups are rising this year, we will begin to see the highest new start up numbers in fifteen years. However , even though this outlook is bright, only around 35 percent of these new startups will be female owned. WIM wants to target mobile Tech start-ups firms to create balance between the genders, with regards to start-ups.

The WIM program hopes to foster and nurture the next wave of mobile Tech, mobile application development and portable gizmos start ups. The reality is that most start-up backers are men. Ladies are shy to request help. Thefore, WIM is needed to assist in increasing the approachability and the degree of visibility of ladies. WIM also wants to provide leads to capital funds for female start-ups.

Thanks to the efforts of WIM and similar organizations that advocate female owned start-ups, female-owned Tech company numbers have grown by 3 percent. Nonetheless there is certainly more work to do, and more expansion to realise. WIM hopes that with the partnership of investors and other start-ups, growth goals can be met sooner than later on.

Not only would this be a victory for girls, but this would be a victory for the U.S. Economy. Any sort of business expansion spells commercial expansion that benefits the U.S. And the globe. Therefore , the expansion of female based startups should be a priority for all entities.
